The Relationship between Insurance and Medical microscopic finding of Bladder Tumor

Abstract
Due to the development of medical technology and the improvement of economic conditions, the average life span of Korea has been increased and chronic diseases have been increasing. Especially, The incidence of cancer and adult metabolic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes, are increasing every year. Stomach, lung, and colon cancer accounts for a large part in korea. and prostate cancer is the most common urinary tract cancer, but incidence of bladder cancer is also steadily increasing. These bladder cancers are classified into two types: non- invasive bladder cancer and invasive bladder cancer, and the incidence of non-invasive bladder cancer is high. Non-invasive bladder cancer is often referred to as superficial bladder cancer however, recurrence or disease progresses are not uncommon in non-invasive bladder cancer.
In order to be compensated for the fee of the cancer treatment, many of men and women are joining the cancer-related insurance. Especially, when the cancer confined to the mucosa, there is a lot of controversy to compensation judge. and the law sues are increasing in terms of these judge. Intraepithelial cancer in bladder which are called ¡°non-invasive bladder cancer¡± are not 100% cured. However, many of insurance companies considered non-invasive bladder cancer to curable early tumor located to the boundary between neoplasia and metaplasia. Therefore they usually refused to pay insurance premium for their customers. These situations would make bed relationship between physicians and patients according to determining diagnosis. And it also damages patient¡¯s properties. So, It would be necessary to recognize and establish the optimal determination about considering non-invasive bladder cancer as a proper cancerous disease.
